Hypes About the Movie
Director Sarkunam – This is third movie in Kollywood. His earlier movies Kalavani and Vaagai Sooda Vaa brought him fame. His second movie even received him National Award as a Best Feature Film. Giving away rom-com subject is his passion. Let’s check it out whether Naiyandi pave way for his hat trick success.
Dhanush : The happening actor has tried his hands in various genres. But his last movie Mariyaan didn’t satisfied his wish at box office. But now with this movie he is in badly need to give a hit movie to his audience.
Nazriya : She made her debut in Kollywood with the movie Neram but she has not much role to showcase her skills. Then in Raja Rani which is a hit, she played a cameo role. So this movie is going to be a much hyped movie in her career.
Director Sarkunam makes a new platform for introducing new characters. All the characters are introduced in the movie through the credit card. Dhanush as Chinna Vandu introduced to us as the younger brother of Sriman and Sathya. These two elder brothers are obsessed with the concept of Love.
Our heroine enters as typical urban girl comes to her grandma’s house for a vacation which happens to be village jamboree. Nazriya as Vana Roja portrayed as a BDS student.
Chinna Vandu’s daily life starts and ends with his cousin Soori. Chinna Vandu falls in love with Vana Roja at first sight. As the days goes by, all the tricks and tactics by Chinna Vandu succeeds. It leads to love reciprocal by Vana Roja.
These two elope from home at one point of time and enters into secret marriage. They return home without disclosing about their hush-hush marital knot.
On the other hand Vana Roja’s father fixes an alliance with Vamsi Krishna. To add more, Chinna Vandu’s brothers also join the marriage race for Vana Roja.
The climax unveils the granny knots in the story.
Director Sarkunam’s Kalavani gave him an address in Kollywood; his Vaagai Sooda Vaa fetched him National Award and now it’s the turn of his commercial hit movie Naiyandi. As the title suggest the screenplay is loaded with lots of fun. There is no separate storyline or characters to provide comic relief. But the cast list is loaded carefully by the director only with the comedians.
The first half of the movie with the intro about characters and their profession are dwelled well. After the intermission, director concentrates on sentimental comedy track with commercial elements within it.
As usual Sarkunam movies’ climax – racy, interesting, funfilled with happy ending.
Dhanush – After Aadukalam, he is hyping much about this movie. But the concept of out and out comedy commercial entertainer doesn’t suit well for a happening actor like Dhanush. Yet he has given his best as a actor.
Nazriya –Eccentric accusation by the actress has created nosiness about the movie. Yet there are no such issues, Nazriya is cute and alluring. This charming beauty is one of the highlight of the movie.
M.Ghibran’s background score is titillating.Perfectly coincides with the script. “Teddy Bear” song music and the picturisations are worth watching.
On the whole, if you are looking out for new matters, there is nothing. “Old wine in new bottle”. You can watch it for the lead actors’ performance. Soori’s acting skills have improved well.
